Nothing short of miraculous! I had my left hip replaced December 6, 2022 at North Atlantic Surgical Suites. Before the surgery I could barely walk across the room using a cane. I am pretty certain I would have been in a wheelchair by now if Dr. Ward and his staff hadn't worked their magic on me..

  • Dr Ward replaced my left hip in May 2023. It’s one month after surgery and my hip feels great! I’m almost back to my old self again. He’s replacing my right hip in July. I am looking forward to returning to my active lifestyle. Dr Ward is a life saver!

  • Nothing short of miraculous! I had my left hip replaced December 6, 2022 at North Atlantic Surgical Suites. Before the surgery I could barely walk across the room using a cane. I am pretty certain I would have been in a wheelchair by now if Dr. Ward and his staff hadn't worked their magic on me. I had constant pain at about an 8 or 9 level 24/7 even taking the maxim dosage of NSAIDs. Dr. Ward said, "Your hip is in a whole new stratosphere of bad". Thirty days after surgery I figure I am 80% back physically and my pain level is about a 1 or less! I see further improvements every week now, but the first 30 days showed daily improvements. I have been given a new lease on life and even daily chores are a pleasure to do now. I could never thank Dr Ward and his wonderful staff enough. God bless them and the wonderful work they do!

  • After his hip replacement just prior to March 2020, my husband has been wheelchair free and independent for almost a year now. Dr. Ward and staff are knowledgeable, kind, skilled, personable and efficient.

  • A fantastic surgeon. also a very personable surgeon. Spent time talking with me and explaining things. Also has a sense of humor. The office staff was great. Am so glad to have a pain free knee replacement and a straight leg again. Eagerly waiting to have knee number 2 done. Will be 10 months apart.

  • I have now had both hips and both knees replaced by Ward, over the last 4y, and am satisfied with the outcomes and very pleased with his work, explanations, and manner. I can't wait to get back to geezerball.

  • Dr. Ward did a FANTASTIC JOB revising my recalled metal hip replacement (done by ANOTHER surgeon). I went from being in a powerchair to walking and driving again, so a GREAT BIG THANKS to Dr. Ward. I can't THANK him ENOUGH!!!

  • Best orthopedic surgeon, and best all around doctor, with a great team, and thoughtful follow through. Just a great experience.

  • Dr. Ward is an excellent surgeon and has replaced both of my hips using the direct superior approach. I could not be more pleased with the result as well as the short recovery time. His team at both his clinic and NEBH are the best. They are fully coordinated within the team and were on top of my care.

  • Dr. Ward performed a right total hip replacement in Feb. 2018. Outstanding result! Dr. Ward and his PA, Danielle Burdo clearly explained what to expect, before, during and after the surgery. Spent one night in the hospital, followed by VNA and PT. By week 5, i was fully functioning and pain free! The office staff is professional and responsive - Ashley was fantastic. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Ward, his colleagues, and the wonderful friend who recommended this practice.

  • I've had two hip surgeries with Dr. Ward and both were done with an approach that allowed me no precautions after the surgery. I was able to bend my hips up well above my waist and cross my legs almost immediately. It was a new approach to the hip he has been doing for a few years and to top it off I left the hospital the next morning!! Hes a very pleasant person whose clearly loves what he does for people.

  • Wonderful and no non-sense approach to my problem after I had seen a few other docs for my hip problem. I replaced my hip and went home the same day. really perfect experience.

  • Dr. Ward is an amazing surgeon! His technique for a total hip replacement is the best! It was painless & easy Peasy, just like he said it would be. Opioids only twice, then Tylenol. He kicked me to the curb on day two-LOL! He is the consummate professional In every way. He respected my Religious beliefs, reassured me-it was my first surgery-I was afraid. It was a pleasant experience- he has a great sense of humor, spends time with you, he cares about his patients as individuals. He is very confident in his abilities, very relaxed-putting you at ease. He is very conscious of infection control making for a an excellent recovery. He is my top doc!

  • I have now had both hips and both knees replaced by Ward over the last 4y, and am satisfied with the outcomes and very pleased with his work, explanations, and manner. I can't wait to get back to geezerball. I can't say it's a piece of cake --- lifelong tight joints, lots of OA from an early age, some sports trauma, waited perhaps a little too long, all resulting in somewhat poky rehabs and some lingering stiffness. But I have good-enough RoM and good strength and am activity-unrestricted in my 70s, woohoo. See this doc, I say.

  • I had a very quick recovery after my hip replacement. I asked for a special hip approach that he uses. I couldn’t be happier.

  • Dr. Ward has performed both right and left total hip replacements for me using his own minimally invasive approach and I have found him to be a great surgeon and physician! He is very down to earth, easy going, personal, and an excellent surgeon! He is very highly regarded by his colleagues and all the hospital nurses and physical therapists. His Physician Assistant, Danielle, is also as wonderful as he is...very knowledgeable, highly skilled, efficient, positive, and genuinely personal! They make a great team! They are the best!

  • Had my total hip replacement and two weeks in I am making tremendous progress in my recovery. The Surgery was performed at North Atlantic Surgical Center in N.H.. the staff there was attentive and made the experience stress free. They make sure you are well informed throughout the process. Surgery was at 7:00am and I was home by 11:00am restring comfortably and ready to start rehabbing. I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Ward.

  • I was reading the reviews after my recent hip replacement and the vast majority are wonderful and I can only ad to that. I was out of them hospital in 24 hours and back to work. He was a honest and straightforward doctor during all my visits. his PA is wonderful.

  • Dr. Ward has done a hip and a knee replacement for me. Both surgies were easy with great results. Sometimes I need to remind myself that I have replacements. Not only a superb orthopedic surgeon, but pocesses a warm engaging, nature. His professionalism is perfect, only outdone by his sincerity, his listening skills and subtle sense of humor. He has taken great care of me, especially with serious hip problems. I think Dr.Ward is a top notch surgeon and a wonderful man, despite that he chose Notre Dame over B.C.

  • I am very fortunate to have Dr. Ward as my new orthopedic physician after being referred to him by Dr. Bierbaum who has retired.

  • I went into hip replacement surgery very healthy, aside from a severely arthritic hip, and was faithful with pre-op hip exercises. Minimal pain (aside from the day after surgery), 2 crutches for 10-14 days and 1 crutch for 14-30 days and that was it. Now 6 weeks post-op and walking without any limp, though several more months before I’m fully healed.

Dr. Ward is skillfull, confident and direct. Everything was A+... the informational video series, weekly informative email reminders, support office staff, PA Ellen & NE Baptist Dedham staff. Not to mention a single red rose given to all patients upon surgery discharge.

  • There is no better hip replacement surgeon than Dr. Ward and no better technique than his. With surgeons like Dr. Ward, we really have entered the golden age of joint replacement. If you can have it done on an outpatient basis, all the better. Left THR with Dr. Ward at North Atlantic Surgical Suites (NASS) in 2018, right THR with Dr. Ward at NASS in 2023. I'm all set! Thank you Dr. Ward!! And, he's a really great guy to boot!!!

  • I'm sure everyone says this, "I should have had my hip replaced years ago"! But I was scared of doctors, surgery, and hospitals, and even more so during COVID. What can I say? I really should have done it a long time ago instead of suffering all those years. Dr. Ward is wonderful, the surgery was pretty painless and, other than Tylenol afterwards, I didn't need the other drugs. The scar, after 6 months, is flat and fading and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ward . He is a skilled surgeon, personable and funny, and had me in stitches - not the suture kind. I trust him and won't wait so long for my other hip replacement when the time comes!

  • Dr. Ward did my hip replacement surgery last year on both hips (not at the same time, lol) and I highly recommend him and his PA Danielle Burdo. I had no previous surgery experience so I met with 3 surgeons to be sure this was necessary and of course with many questions. The other 2 were at other hospitals. Dr. Ward was the only surgeon who took the time to answer all my questions, in a straightforward way. I was also reassured by his specialization in hip replacement and his work in the field to perfect the implant itself. Both surgeries went smoothly and I’ve recovered well, my mobility is increased far beyond what it was before surgery. Pain not really an issue after either surgery. They gave 1 dose opioid in the hospital the first time, but I didn’t like how it felt, so we stuck with Tylenol and I was fine. Tylenol at home too. It’s not just the surgeon but also his team - NEBH was great, and his PA Danielle was excellent in the follow up appointments afterwards (knowledgeable, clear, helpful). Thank you to everyone!

  • I had a total left hip replacement on 10/6/2021, day surgery. Dr. Ward and his team are wonderful. I had surgery at 1pm, out of the OR by 2:30ish ( had pins removed also), walking by 3 and home by 5:30. I walked up 3 flights of steps into my unit I had my right hip done in 2017 by another Surgeon, although feeling good now, the recovery was longer. I am doing things at 3 days now that took me 2.5 weeks to do with the right hip. 100% faith in Dr. Daniel Ward and his team supporting him. If I could give 10*'s I sure would.

  • Dr Ward and the entire staff were great. I am 59 years old and at day #31 from total hip replacement. I have little pain, can do most normal activities, and walk with a cane or without a cane part of the time. I feel much better when I walk a lot and do the exercises. My advice is walk often and don't sit much.

I am very cowardly by nature but he really eased my fears. He completely respected my religious beliefs- I can’t imagine a better Doctor.
